5TH Annual Non-Contact Instructional Football Camp: June 16, 2007
To highlight the camps image and representation in the community, PCI has partnered with the Matrix Group LLP, in association with a number of sponsors as well as NFL, CFL and Arena Professional Football Players. It is PCI’s hope to attract additional community involvement and to show the youth participants the values and importance of their future. Additional support for the camp is provided by local university and high school coaches, players, and volunteers. PCI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit org.
Washington, DC, June 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In a continuous effort to provide positive mentoring activities for inner-city youth, Positive Choices Inc. (PCI), announces the 5th Annual Positive Choices Non-Contact Instructional Football Camp on Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The camp will take place on the grounds of Gonzaga College High School (19 Eye Street NW, Washington, DC 20001) and is expected to attract over two hundred elementary, middle and junior high school students. The camp will feature football drills, scrimmages and encouraging motivational counsel conducted by current and former professional football players and will provide this innovative mentoring program free-of charge to local area youth.

PCI’s community-concentrated youth development programs focus on emphasizing positive character traits, values, and decision-making skills. Through community activities, PCI is able to provide educational, athletic, emotional and socially enriching environments for economically disadvantaged inner-city youth.
PCI President & CEO Coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim believes that providing unique goodwill programs helps aid inner city youth in becoming attentive, reliable and cooperative adults. It is the goal of PCI to instill a sense of community value, self-worth, and diligence that will transcend into all arenas of their lives, thus, making positive behaviors and actions a standard. PCI promotes understanding through action; acknowledging the positive energy that can be created and funneled through concentrated activities. In addition, the camp gives the youth an opportunity to practice team-working skills, make new friends, and to value their individual strengths and weaknesses.
