Paul Morrissey Named President and Chief Executive Officer of Cirelli Foods in Middleborough, MA

Middleborough, MA, July 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Cirelli Foods of Middleborough, MA, New England's largest family owned broadline foodservice distributor, recently announced the appointment of Paul Morrissey as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Formerly Vice President of Operations at Cirelli, with a career spanning more than 25 years in the foodservice industry, Morrissey will bring a broad base of expertise to his new role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cirelli Foods.

Morrissey started his foodservice career at Sysco as a Marketing Associate. He gained additional operational experience at PYA Monarch, JP Foodservice, Royal Ahold, and US Foods, where he served as Vice President of Operations for a $200 million dollar division. Prior to joining Cirelli Foods, Morrissey was Northeast Vice President of Operations for P&O Logistics.

In other executive level changes at Cirelli Foods, Jay Cirelli, who has worked to help build the family owned and managed business for 40 plus years, will focus on strategic sales opportunities in new and emerging markets as Senior Vice President Business Development. Cirelli has hands-on experience with all aspects of the business and had previously served as Executive Vice President. A resident of Lakeville, Cirelli is a graduate of Bentley College with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Jane Brett, formerly Vice President of Multi-Unit Sales at Cirelli Foods, has been appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing where she will be responsible for managing the sales growth of the company along with the promotion and marketing of Cirelli Foods.
Brett rose through the ranks at Cirelli Foods, starting out as a cashier in the cash and carry store, now known as Cirelli’s Warehouse Marketplace. Brett has served in a number of capacities at Cirelli Foods, including: customer service agent, salesperson assistant manager, and Multi Unit Group Account Manager. A native of Abington, MA who currently resides in Easton, MA, Brett received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bridgewater State College, with a minor in computer science.
