U.S. Gas & Electric Provides Assistance to Employees Affected by Hurricane Sandy
U.S. Gas & Electric Helps Employees Affected by Hurricane Sandy
Miami, FL, November 03, 2012 --(PR.com)-- U.S. Gas & Electric, its subsidiaries and family of companies (“USG&E”), a provider of natural gas and electricity to commercial and residential consumers in a growing number of states, is taking extreme efforts to assist employees who have been directly affected by Hurricane Sandy.
The devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy has left much of the population in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic region without power. To assist employees residing within these areas, USG&E has purchased gasoline generators in South Florida and is driving the equipment up to employees’ homes in New York and New Jersey. With four employees participating in the non-stop drive, USG&E expects to be able to complete the 1,300 mile trip in approximately 22 hours to ensure that their employees receive the generators as soon as possible.
“Hurricane Sandy has caused extensive damage,” stated Doug Marcille, Director, CEO and President of USG&E. “We are committed to our employees, and we will do whatever it takes to ensure their safety and security during this time of need.”
