CrimeCenter.org Launches Their Free Fraud Detection Database

Tallahassee, FL, November 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Shaul launches CrimeCenter.org and has introduced the Mail Drop Fraud database to assist with the Anti-Fraud effort. This free database allows Credit Unions, Banks, Insurers, Ecommerce Merchants and Government Agencies access over 60,000 records to validate physical addresses.

From small retailers to multi-national insurance companies, searching the Mail Drop Database allows verification of addresses to determine if someone may be using a mailing service / rented mail box to mask their physical address. This is a common tactic used by the bad guys to commit fraud and remain anonymous.

The database may be accessed at http://www.MailDropSearch.com.

Creator of the nation’s first All Claims Database for Healthcare Fraud Detection and founder of the Fraud Defense Network (which was acquired by ChoicePoint/ LexisNexus), David Shaul has recently formed CrimeCenter.org to continue his efforts in assisting the law enforcement and the anti-fraud community.

“When I founded the Fraud Defense Network and developed the anti-fraud tools, it was an effort to enhance communication and develop systems to assist in the Anti-Fraud effort,” said Shaul. “These tools were redistributed into the ChoicePoint product line. The Launch of CrimeCenter.org is an effort to re-establish that communication for the common good of the community.”

The Mail Drop Search Database may also prove useful in detecting Identity Theft, according to Linda Vincent, RN, PI, Identity & Medical Identify Theft Investigator / Educator, with The ID Advocate, "This information is so important in the health fraud arena, as we know the bad guys like to set up "shop" where none exist! I think it's a great tool... I can also see it working in ID theft cases as well.”

The Crime Center LinkedIn Group has grown tremendously over the past few months and the communication with and between the members has provided a method to keep the law enforcement community up-to-date on news, events and the latest technology used for crime prevention. According to Shaul, “the use of social networking allows those in the field to keep abreast of the ever changing technological advances in the industry.”

“We hope to make a dent,” says Shaul, “with healthcare fraud approaching $100 Billion per year and Identity Theft on the rise, our goal is put technology in the hands of the investigators.” To find out more, please visit www.CrimeCenter.org
