Portland, OR, July 17, 2007 --(PR.com)-- It’s a collision of rock music and the hottest straight size and plus size fashion in the United States. Portland’s own, Skorch Magazine, along with Semper Fashion, is ready to make the runway sizzle with "Rock the Runways," a Rock n Roll Party and Fashion Show. Making its debut in Portland’s mainstream fashion event is a plus fashion segment, produced by Skorch Magazine, a fashion e-zine that caters to plus-size women who love fashion and beauty.

The party and fashion show will fill up three levels of the hottest space in Portland. "Rock the Runways," sponsored by Semper Fashion and SKORCHmagazine.com is hitting Portland, Friday, July 20, 2007. This event will open at 7pm with the sickest local rock bands pumping energy in the 1000+ partiers expected to attend the baddest event of the year. In previous years this fashion show has been over sold, over packed, and over the top.

Skorch Magazine, founded by Portland locals Carrie Woomer and Jessica Reese, has taken the plus size fashion industry by storm. Launched in September of 2006, the Portland based virtual magazine Skorch, has made a huge impact not only in plus size industry, but the fashion industry as a whole. Skorch Magazine offers trendy plus-size fashion to the 20-something woman. Woomer and Reese have their vision set on another aspect of fashion, the runway. The ladies of Skorch Magazine are producing the first ever plus size segment in "Rock the Runways," a Rock n Roll Party & Fashion Show.

The fashion show will be featuring Portland’s hottest cutting edge hair, makeup, and rock and roll inspired fashions. The Rock n Roll Fashion Show and Party along with Skorch Magazine are heating up the Portland Area with local trendsetters in the fashion industry.

“The Venue,” located at 2808 NE MLK Blvd., Portland, Ore. is the host for this exclusive summer party that will rock the City of Portland all night long. The rock and Roll party and Fashion Show will feature live local bands, fashion trendsetters, and three fashion shows featuring straight and plus size fashion for the night.
