Chevrolet Support Hurricane Sandy Relief with 50 Truck Donation to Red Cross
Chevrolet and GM support the American Red Cross through vehicle and monetary donations. Landmark Chevrolet encourages all who are able to help in any way they can.
Randolph, NY, November 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- To help give support to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort, Chevrolet has donated 50 full-size Silverado pickup trucks and Express cargo vans to the American Red Cross for use in relief and recovery efforts. Landmark Chevrolet in Randolph, NY is pleased to help support Chevrolet in their efforts and hopes all who are able help in any way they can.
OnStar, GM’s subsidiary, is providing 300 OnStar Hands-Free Calling minutes and three months of its Directions and Connections plan to each of the donated vehicles. Local dealerships are providing the donated vehicles.
Additionally, the GM Foundation donated $250,000 to the Red Cross Disaster Responder Program. The money is used to provide shelter, food, and help meet the emotional needs of disaster victims. It also helps support the relief workers with food and provides blood to help disaster victims.
