Hot Tub Cinema's New Indoor Series Opens to Sold Out Shows in London. December Dates Are Announced.
London, United Kingdom, November 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Hot Tub Cinema, London’s most unique underground event has moved indoors for its autumn/winter season. Five nights of sold-out shows celebrated the Halloween season, and the fun is set to continue with the announcement of seven shows from 3rd to the 9th of December.
Hot Tub Cinema, an unforgettable evening of indulgence combining hot tubs with well-loved films screened in transformed pop-up locations, kicked off the autumn/winter season this past week with an electrifying Halloween-theme that captivated audiences.
With the buzz and media attention around Hot Tub Cinema’s summer run of rooftop shows going international, the most recent set of indoor shows sold out within a matter of minutes.
Hot Tub Cinema’s Halloween series saw an increased capacity of almost 150 people per night in 17 Lay-z-Spa hot tubs, watching two giant cinema screens and enjoying tub-side table service from a fully licensed bar and gourmet cinema-style food stalls. The surrounding set design created a Halloween hot tub wonderland within a refurbished Victorian warehouse in Shoreditch.
Over five exciting nights, the extravagantly fancy-dressed, friends and couples, unique work do’s and the excitable birthday parties settled down together in the 40°C water to watch The Lost Boys, Nightmare on Elm Street, Shaun of The Dead, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Beetlejuice.
The events were met with fantastic reviews from fans and media alike. MTV Verge Magazine remarked that Hot Tub Cinema “promised an unforgettable evening and my God did it offer just that,” while the Sun proclaimed: “We’re sold!”
Founder Asher Charman says that he is constantly searching for ways to evolve the event and perfect the experience.
