Innovation Direct™ to Spearhead Marketing Efforts for Patented Bathing Poncho Invention

Miami, FL, November 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- An innovative new product designed to serve as an effective tool for maintaining personal cleanliness, the Bathing Poncho, has been developed by Timothy Reardon of Atlantic Beach, Florida. The invention’s unique design provides its users with a way to clean themselves thoroughly with minimal water.

Bathing is one of the most private activities that a person undertakes, and any violation or disturbance of that can certainly be upsetting. The reality is that in settings such as hospitals and assisted living facilities, and to a certain extent, college dormitories and gyms, there are often occasions of limited privacy when one is preparing to take a shower. Therefore, a product that would allow a person to reach the level of cleanliness required while still remaining covered would likely be viewed with great interest.

With this in mind, the Bathing Poncho has been developed. The Bathing Poncho will feature both a bathing and drying garment, making it especially functional and convenient. Additionally, the bathing garment portion will feature pre-implemented rations of non-rinse soap and shampoo. The Bathing Poncho will also be comfortable for anyone to don and utilize, and will afford them a level of privacy not normally found in a public shower or bathing area. Furthermore, it will be easily portable to virtually any location and will be of particular utility and value in hospitals and nursing homes. It will also serve as an essential after natural disasters where the normal water supply may not be usable for an extended period.

The Bathing Poncho is the subject of Utility Patent # 7,509,689 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The inventor has also developed a working prototype of the Bathing Poncho that he has utilized with success.

Mr. Reardon now seeks a third party licensee to manufacture, market, and distribute the product for him under a royalty agreement. Potential licensees in the medical garments industry are currently being targeted as candidates to eventually commercialize the Bathing Poncho on a worldwide basis.

In September 2012, Mr. Reardon contracted Miami, Florida-based product management services leader Innovation Direct™ to represent the Bathing Poncho to potential licensees for a 2 year period.
