90octane and Children’s Hospital Colorado Encourage Local Business Blood Drives

Denver, CO, November 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Conversion-driven marketing agency 90octane hosted a blood drive Wednesday, Sept. 26 to benefit Children’s Hospital Colorado’s young patients who need transfusions. Recognizing that a single donation can help save the lives of up to three children, 90octane staff, their families and friends, and those in the downtown Denver business community participated.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, totaling more than 38,000 blood donations needed per day. Without the blood donations Children’s Hospital Colorado receives every day, many of the lifesaving procedures it performs would not be possible.

“Fifty percent of the blood used for therapies and surgeries at the hospital comes from our partnerships with community businesses, civic organizations and faith-based groups,” said Children’s Hospital Colorado Blood Donor Center Manager Jay Connors. “We could not do the life saving work that we do without the commitment and generosity of these dedicated blood drive hosts. The need is on the rise and we are always looking for new groups to host our bloodmobile.”

Donating blood is a completely free and safe process, and it’s easy to set up a company or group blood drive. The Children’s Hospital Colorado Bloodmobile is equipped to conduct a mobile blood drive in most settings. If you wish to donate individually, you can schedule a blood donation appointment online or in person at Children’s Hospital Colorado Blood Donor Center. Donation hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The center is closed on weekends.

You may also choose to donate individually at a Children’s Hospital Colorado Bloodmobile location. Bloodmobile drives are held every Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in various locations throughout the Denver metro area.
