Increasing Adoption of Business Process Management (BPM)
New BPM Resource Center simplifies BPM for Executives, Business Managers and Analysts to increase awareness, understanding and adoption.
Red Bank, NJ, November 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- StraightForward Methods, LLC, a productivity tool and consulting company today announced the launch of a new Business Process Management (BPM) educational website. There is general agreement in the industry that adoption of BPM has still not reached its potential even after more than a decade of numerous proven successes in every industry sector. One factor is that while there are many resources targeted to process improvement experts and technologists there are far fewer for the average business manager. To answer that need and generate more advocacy the BPM Resource Center website aggregates, digests and simplifies various topics on BPM to help those less familiar with BPM concepts, methodologies and related technologies.
The BPM Resource Center site includes a “What is BPM” primer and FAQ section covering the basics as well as the differences in often conflated topics of BPM and BPMS. It clarifies and demystifies many key industry terms and concepts such as how BPM relates to Lean Six Sigma and social collaboration. A number of concise, short videos help convey these topics in a crisp, succinct fashion. The site also offers tips on getting started on BPM initiatives; introductions to process modeling, analysis and design; a case study library on how other companies have benefited from BPM; as well as guidance for implementing BPM and BPMS projects and initiatives.
Here is what some of the site visitors had to say:
“This is a really excellent resource. It’s very to the point and quickly cleared up questions I had difficulty finding answers to.” -Mike Tillman, President of IDRT wrote.
“The site is remarkably close to answering just what I needed a couple years ago when I was first getting started in BPM,” commented Dave Woods, Sr. Process Manager, SNL Financials. “I like it!”
"It’s easy to follow which tends to be a problem with websites these days," wrote Brianna Putt, Business Analyst. “Really helpful, thanks.”
In addition to the main sections of the site there is a BPM industry events conferences calendar and a free members login area where members can access various reports, guides, papers and past survey data. The site will also soon have available a BPM expert database to provide a searchable, comprehensive resource for finding BPM consultants with specific industry, technology and or methodology expertise in a given geographic location.
“If we educate business managers we help to create the internal business champions and evangelists the industry needs,” Daniele Chenal, Founder and Editor in Chief said. “Our goal is to create a site that anyone in any industry can easily understand so we can get them started on successful BPM endeavors.”
