Youngest Pupil Leaves School, Goes to Senior High at Nine

Youngest pupil leaves school, London student makes educational history in Britian

London, United Kingdom, July 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- History will be made this week when Samantha Osaretin Imafidon a pupil at Roger Ascham primary School leaves the school for the last time. Instead of returning back next term she will be off to secondary school ahead of all her mates. This is because in March this year at the aged of 9, she became the youngest pupil ever to pass the tough entrance scholarship/entrance exams to over eight different top secondary schools.

Samantha Imafidon who also participates in the Excellence in Education gifted programme, is a keen athlete emerging as the second fastest girl in the borough during this year's interschool borough competition. Samantha represented Roger Ascham in both the relay and sprint event is known nationally for her academic ability because earlier this term, it was confirmed that she is the youngest pupil ever in Britain to win a place in a secondary school at the tender age of nine.

Gifted Samantha Imafidon received invitations from about a dozen schools all over the country to start year 7 in September after passing demanding entrance, or eleven plus exams designed for 11-year old pupils. Samantha, who also participates in the Excellence in Education programme for gifted students, scored 100% in one of the verbal reasoning entrance tests of the highly competitive New Hall School in Chelmsford, Essex. Samantha was also won a place at the prestigious Queen's School in Reading and got a scholarship to another top school in Reading. Another top girls' school in Oxford offered Samantha a place. Delighted Samantha said "I am very excited at the idea of having a different teacher teaching a subject, and making new friends in my new secondary school- St Joseph Covent School"

Samantha set a national record by passing two GCSEs in Mathematics, and Statistics at the age of six and has since compiled her revision notes into a book called 'Maths manual' which helped her sibling twins, Peter and Paula also of Excellence in Education and Roger Ascham to pass GCSE at six.
