Fredrick Levore to Sing at NYC's Somethin' Jazz Café Nov. 17th
Contemporary soulful jazz vocalist, Fredrick Levore, will perform two 45 minute sets at Somethin’ Jazz Café in New York City on Nov. 17th.
New York, NY, November 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- New York jazz music fans will be treated to the soulful contemporary jazz vocals of singer Fredrick Levore at the Somethin’ Jazz Cafe on November 17th. Mr. Levore will perform two 45 minute sets from 9:00 PM to 10:45 PM. Somethin' Jazz Cafe is located at 212 E. 52nd St., 3rd floor, between 3rd and 2nd Avenues.
Fredrick Levore's sets will include a seamless blend of original songs from Levore's album, "Skindiver" (available on iTunes and at fredricklevore.com), and standards from the American and R & B songbooks. Sets to include chart topping favorites like Frank Sinatra's "One For My Baby," Sammy Davis, Jr’s "What Kind Of Fool Am I," and Stevie Wonder’s "Another Star," all performed stylishly with smooth and soulful jazz overtones. "Autumn Fell" an original song from Levore's album, along with the Dusty Springfield & Dionne Warwick medley, "Just A Little Lovin"/"What The World Needs Now," will also be performed.
Mr. Levore's accompaniment will be provided by veteran musicians; pianist Lou Rainone, bassist Paul Beaudry and drummer Tony Jefferson.
In describing his signature take on jazz, Mr. Levore explains, “George Benson is my hero. He’s got jazz chops but also sings with great R & B sensibility. He is my touchstone, along with Nat King Cole and Sammy Davis, Jr."
"I enjoy how it feels to sing," continues Levore. "It’s about understanding the words and the meaning, catching that thread in the song, itself, and sharing it with the audience.”
In addition to putting a contemporary jazz spin on most of his songs, Levore seamlessly blends medleys, combining similarly themed songs together. “I’ll often take familiar R & B tunes and apply a jazz feel to them, or take two songs and put them together,” shares Levore.
Reservations are suggested for Fredrick Levore's November 17th engagement at Somethin' Jazz Cafe, and can be made at somethinjazz.com.
