Williams & Hand Law Firm Partner Jessica A. Pritchard Selected to Bucks County “Forty Under 40”
Family Lawyer chosen from over 100 nominees for Bucks County Forty Under 40 List of Executives
Philadelphia, PA, November 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Bucks County family lawyer Jessica A. Pritchard has been named to the first-ever Bucks County Forty Under 40, a list of up-and-coming executives representing legal, finance, education and other professions. Pritchard, a partner at Williams & Hand, P.C. (www.bucksfamilylawyers.com), was selected from nearly 100 nominees by an independent panel of judges.
Sponsored by the Bucks County Courier Times & The Intelligencer, the Forty Under 40 celebrates young executives who have consistently demonstrated leadership and who have made a significant contribution to the community through public service. Other sponsors of the Forty Under 40 include The Buck Hotel, and the Lower, Central and Upper Bucks Chambers of Commerce.
“Jessica is more than just a highly trained and skilled attorney. She is a deeply compassionate person who is committed to helping people involved in family law disputes to find mutually acceptable resolutions to their differences, particularly when the welfare of children is involved,” said Jeffrey M. Williams, founding partner at Williams & Hand. “She exemplifies our firm’s devotion to providing experienced legal guidance and powerful advocacy that is required when dealing with family law matters.”
Pritchard practices family law. She works in all phases of negotiation and litigation of domestic relations cases, including divorce, child custody, alimony/spousal support, equitable distribution and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. As a trained parent coordinator, she manages high-conflict custody cases, working with parents to arbitrate ongoing child-related disputes.
Having previously served as the assistant solicitor for the Bucks County Department of Mental Health and Developmental Programs, Pritchard also served as a member of the Bucks County Mental Health and Developmental Programs Advisory Board. She is also a member of the Board of Directors at the Lenape Valley Foundation.
As a member of the Bucks County Bar Association, Pritchard serves as co-chair of the Family Law Section and is a member of the Bench Bar Conference Committee. She also provides pro bono family law services to disadvantaged members of the local community and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section.
Since 2006, Pritchard has been consistently recognized by Thomson Reuters as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star®,” published in Philadelphia Magazine and Law and Politics Magazine, Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® “Rising Stars” editions. Rising Stars are chosen by their peers and through independent research of Law & Politics as being among the top up-and-coming lawyers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Only 2.5 percent of Pennsylvania attorneys receive this honor each year.
Pritchard earned a Bachelor of Arts from Catholic University of America and a Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law.
