Fort Western Stores, Nebraska's largest Western wear outfitter, will open a new store in Columbus, NE in time for Black Friday. The store will carry boots, hats, jeans and more from hundreds of top western wear and fashion forward brands.
Columbus, NE, November 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fort Western Stores, Nebraska's largest Western wear outfitter, is pleased to announce the opening of its newest retail location in Columbus, NE. The store will carry jeans, boots, hats and more from hundreds of top Western wear and fashion forward brands. The newly remodeled store is located in the former Walgreens building on 21st Street and will open its doors in time for Black Friday shopping. Customers can watch for the grand opening date to be announced on the Fort Western website.
The opening of the Columbus store coincides with the 40th anniversary of the family-owned business, founded by Carl and Shirley Wohlfarth. The Wohlfarth’s vision was to offer an un-matched selection of western lifestyle merchandise at the lowest possible price, day in and day out. The first store opened in 1972 as a one-room tack shop in Lincoln, NE and now encompasses over 40,000 square feet of retail space. In 1993, a second retail store opened in Nebraska City, NE, home of the Apple Jack Festival and Arbor Day Celebration.
Fort Western Stores’ Columbus location will carry a similar selection as its Lincoln and Nebraska City stores. You’ll find popular brand name boots, hats and jeans including Miss Me jeans, Wrangler Clothing, Tony Lama and Justin Boots plus a whole lot more.
“Word of mouth began spreading as soon as signs went up on the building and what we’ve been hearing from the community is an overwhelming amount of excitement and anticipation for the new store, which tells me we couldn’t have picked a better, more welcoming location to grow the business,” said Steve Wohlfarth, General Manager of Fort Western Stores. The opening of the new Fort Western store also provides a number of new job opportunities in the Columbus community.
Fort Western Stores looks forward to providing its top customer service, great selection and low prices on western wear to residents of Columbus and surrounding towns that before had few options and further to travel for “Western Wear” and “Fashion Forward” attire.
“It’s pretty exciting news to have a big clothing store like The Fort move into Columbus. I’m sure they’ll do very well here,” said Walter Williams, Columbus resident.
