Georgian Landscape Design Project Awarded Yard of the Month
Atlanta, GA, July 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Bridle Ridge, in Suwanee, GA, awarded residents Jim and Beverly Stone "Yard of the Month" in June for the work recently completed by Georgian Landscape Design (GLD).
"We went from worst to first," says homeowner Jim Stone. "My wife and I could not be happier."
Stone has know Ed Szczesniak, the owner and designer of GLD, for years and after hearing that Szczesniak had launched his own landscaping company, he knew a brand new yard would be the perfect gift for his wife who's always wanted professional landscaping done.
"After 12 years the landscaping needed a new look as well as adding some elements that would better serve the family's entertainment and privacy needs while enhancing the value of their home," says Szczesniak.
Szczesniak drew up the design in early December of 2006 with plans to
install a fire pit, stone patio, pergola, fencing and redefined planting
beds. The plans also involved the removal of numerous old, overgrown plants and trees to replace them with colorful new plantings appropriate to the Stone's wishes and micro-climate of the property. The project is broken into five phases with the first two phases now completed.
GLD's crews went to work in February after obtaining approvals by the Bridle Ridge Architectural Review Board and in a matter of ten days, the once dreary and unappealing yard turned into a southern landscape many homeowners would be proud to call their own.
"It's incredibly flattering and rewarding to know that one of your projects
is awarded the best of anything, so you can imagine how we felt when the Stone's residence was awarded 'Yard of the Month,'" says Szczesniak. "It has definitely been one of the highlights for our young company and personally rewarding to me and my team."
