Landry, whose Wynnewood-based firm was named 2011 Small Business of the Year by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, will appear on the new show “And That’s the Truth with Terry Whitaker” in an episode airing at 1 p.m. on both Tues., Nov. 20 and Thurs., Nov. 22 on TV station WPHA 38 in Philadelphia.
The program also will be available for viewing online starting Nov. 20 at www.andthatsthetruthtv.com .
Hollister Creative (www.hollistercreative.com) produces websites, custom print and electronic publications, ebooks, enewsletters and marketing materials for corporate, non-profit and institutional clients. It also has an educational division that creates and syndicates teaching materials nationally under the brand Hollister Kids.
“And That’s the Truth with Terry Whitaker” was launched this year, and its host is a business consultant, marketing communications strategist and advocate for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Whitaker is also owner of Crossbow Studio in Philadelphia and a former brand manager for Nestlé USA.
A self-styled “Truth Teller,” Whitaker seeks to “bring more authenticity and truth” into the business world through her program by showcasing leaders in business, politics and other fields who have become successful on their own terms.
“I want to talk with business leaders, educators, politicians and professionals who have ‘cracked the code’ and live their truth—or at least have the scars to show they've tried,” she says.
Whitaker’s conversation with Landry focuses on truth in marketing and business communications.
Kim Landry founded Hollister Creative in 1990 after a career in the newspaper industry that included stints as Executive Editor of a weekly newspaper group, Sunday Magazines Editor at the metro daily Boston Herald and Editor in Chief at the local daily Greenwich (Conn.) Time.
With Landry’s print background, Hollister initially focused on print publications and marketing, offering complete “soup to nuts” service that included writing, editing and graphic design.
As the communications field has migrated to electronic publishing, however, so has Hollister. This year, most of its business was digital or electronic in projects involving websites, ebooks, enewsletters and social media for corporate, nonprofit and institutional clients.
Hollister also launched a 12-Week Custom Website ™ program this year to efficiently and effectively produce websites for small and midsize businesses and nonprofits.
In addition to her duties at Hollister, Landry currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce and the Advisory Committee of the Chamber's Society of Professional Women (SPW). She has also served on the Leadership Committee of the Women’s Initiative of the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, on the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), as Board Chair of New Gulph Children’s Center in Villanova and as President of the Brynford Civic Association in Haverford Township.
