Tracy Chevrolet-Cadillac to Award a 2007 Chevy Tahoe for a Hole-in-One at the First Annual Sean Kearney Memorial Golf Tournament

Plymouth, MA, July 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- For any golfer, pro or amateur, a hole-in-one is an accomplishment of a lifetime. Thanks to Tracy Chevrolet-Cadillac, a hole-in-one can also mean a brand new automobile and, more importantly, helping a very worthy cause, the Sean Kearney Memorial Fund, get off the ground.

Eight-year-old Sean Kearney died last October in a tragic ATV accident. The Sean Kearney Memorial Fund will provide financial assistance to South Shore children and families who have a financial hardship to pay for youth hockey. The fund will also provide aid for one child to participate in the sailing program at the Plymouth Yacht Club, as well as helping fund educational material on ATV safety in Massachusetts.

“At Tracy Chevrolet-Cadillac, we see ourselves as more than just auto dealers but part of the greater Plymouth community. So when something happens to somebody in our community, like what happened to Sean, it really hits home. Even more so if you’re a parent and have kids around that age,” said Jeff Tracy, president of Tracy Chevrolet-Cadillac. “By Tracy Chevrolet-Cadillac being one of the golf tournament’s sponsors and offering a new 2007 Chevy Tahoe for a hole-in-one, we’re not just raising money for a cause, we’re preserving Sean’s memory by helping South Shore youths partake in two of his passions, hockey and sailing, and raising awareness for ATV safety.”

The Sean Kearney Memorial Golf Tournament and dinner will take place on Friday, August 10 at the Southers March Golf Course in Plymouth, with the Shot Gun round beginning at 1 p.m. In addition to a round of golf, participants can also take part in a Helicopter Drop, 50-50 raffle, Closest to the Pin competition and a Longest Drive contest. Not to mention the aforementioned reward—a 2007 Chevy Tahoe from Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac—for making a hole in one on a predetermined hole.

“We pride ourselves on it being so easy to buy a car from Tracy Chevrolet Cadillac, but what could be easier than walking away with a brand new Chevy Tahoe with just one swing of a golf club?” joked Tracy.

To take part in the golf tournament, dinner and raffles costs $125 per person. The cost for those only taking part in dinner and the raffles is $30. Golf and dinner reservations must be made and prepaid by August 6, 2007. To download an entry form, go to the Plymouth Youth Hockey Web site at www.plymouthyouthhockey.com. Checks should be made payable to “The Sean Kearney Memorial Fund” and mailed to Mark Kearney, 183 Fairview Lane, Plymouth, MA 02360.
