Ford Motor Company Drive 4UR School Raises $5,870 for PCHS Athletic Department

Pekin, IL, November 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Recently, Velde Ford of Pekin teamed up with the Pekin High School for the Ford Motor Companies Drive 4UR School Event at Pekin’s First Home Football Game of the season. The entire proceeds based on Test Drives taken for the event were pre-determined to go to support the entire Pekin High School Athletic Department.
Ford Motor Company recently announced that Velde Ford in conjunction with fans of the Pekin High School Athletic Department raised a total of $5,870 for the Athletic Department.

Event Coordinators Stacie Swingle and Lynzie Gruden staged Ford vehicles, inclusive of the latest models of the Ford Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, Explorer, F150, Mustang GT, and the All-New Escape for Pekin High Fans to test drive at the Pekin High School Stadium. Ford contributed monies for each test drive fans participated in.

Velde Consultants; Randy Seward, Vern DuPage, Dave Koehne, Rob DeBoer, Jeff Witherspoon and Managers Scott Saurs, Lynzie Gruden and Stacie Swingle assisted PHS Fans in their test drives. The Ford vehicles contained the latest in Ford Technology such as SYNC, MYFordTouch, BLIS and Voice Activated Technologies.

Tim Saurs, General Manager and President of Velde Ford stated, "Since many of our employees attended PHS and participated in athletic activities, …we are simply thrilled to make this contribution to our community on behalf of the Ford Motor Company." He continued, "It is gratifying to see the community get so firmly behind the kids and their development in school."
