Picture This! Photography Non-Profit Every Person Has a Story (EPHAS) Hosts Annual Holiday Bash on December 7 in Boston

War child turned internationally recognized Hip Hop artist and author Emmanuel Jal headlines EPHAS benefit at Storyville to assist Global Community Development

Boston, MA, November 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Every Person Has A Story (EPHAS) will host its 2nd Annual Holiday Benefit Bash on Friday, December 7, from 6-10 p.m. at Storyville in Boston’s Back Bay. Expected to be a sell-out, the fun-filled fundraiser directly supports the organization’s programs for empowering disadvantaged people in underexposed parts of the world by storytelling through photography. Outstanding food and drink, raffle items, photographs and entertainment are all on tap.

South Sudanese child soldier turned world-renowned musician Emmanuel Jal will treat the audience with a special performance. An avid supporter of EPHAS and an advocate for social justice and human rights, Jal’s Hip Hop music expresses messages of hope, peace, love and reconciliation.

Two of Boston’s most sought after DJs, Sergio Santos and Salvatore Legrosso, will keep the party going, drawing in the crowd alongside event promoter 6One7. Additional sponsors include The Boston Bruins Foundation, The Boston Red Sox, KetelOne, TaylorMade, Boston Harbor Hotel, Westin Boston, Island Creek Oyster Bar, Eastern Standard, Flour Bakery, CHEN PR and many more.

Through EPHAS, people from Cambodia, Haiti, Rwanda, South Sudan and other regions engage in multi-day workshops to learn how to use digital cameras to tell their stories. The cameras remain at their disposal, with instructors returning to help the fledgling photographers expand their skills. The best images are uploaded to the EPHAS website for purchase by interested parties ranging from premier news outlets to individuals. The money raised is put back into the program – enabling EPHAS to expand efforts at existing locations and undertake new initiatives in more countries.

“EPHAS shares stories and connects people around the world through the power of photography,” said EPHAS Founder and Executive Director G. Ryan Ansin. “We put cameras in the hands of our students and provide them with teaching and guidance, so they can capture poignant, unfiltered images of their day-to-day realities, joys and sorrows alike. Our organization then leverages the internet and social media to share their stories worldwide.”

Party guests must be 21 or older. Ticket prices and packages are as follows. Special pricing for larger blocks of tickets is possible.

· $20/ticket in advance or $25/ticket at the door (Includes a $5 raffle ticket, a free drink, and food.)
· $75 VIP ticket (Includes everything with the regular ticket, plus one-hour open bar from 6-7:00 p.m.)
· $150 VIP Premier ticket (Includes everything with VIP ticket, plus an EPHAS print of your choice and gift bag.)
