Fairborn High School Marching Band Gets a New Trailer, Courtesy of White Allen Chevrolet
Last Friday, White Allen Chevrolet donated a trailer to the Fairborn High School Marching Band to replace the ones that was stolen back in September.
Dayton, OH, November 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Fairborn High School’s marching band was celebrating last Friday thanks to the arrival of a brand new, customized trailer courtesy of White Allen Chevrolet in Dayton. The marching band had their previous trailer stolen back in September, and had been making do with loaners since then.
The marching band’s previous trailer was donated anonymously in September, then stolen after only one use. Luckily, the trailer didn’t have any band equipment in it when it was stolen, but it meant that the marching band had to rely on vehicles such as a bread delivery box truck, a rented U-Haul, and a handicap-accessible school bus to move their equipment this year.
The new trailer features the Fairborn Skyhawks’ logo, along with the text “Fairborn Marching Band & Color Guard.” It is painted a striking blue that is sure to catch attention. The marching band will start using the trailer next year to haul their gear and equipment.
Trish Turkette, proud parent, and the school’s music club vice president said, “The kids are excited. They can’t believe it! They will be proud to have such a nice trailer next season.”
White Allen Chevrolet is known locally for its dedication to the community. As well as helping the Fairborn marching band, the Dayton car dealership also sponsors the University of Dayton men’s basketball team, and the Miami University football team.
