Shannon & Wilson Promotes Four St. Louis Employees
Saint Louis, MO, November 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Shannon & Wilson is pleased to announce the promotions of Thomas Abkemeier, Jacob Bilello, James Dutt and Mark Wieners.
Thomas Abkemeier, P.E., has been promoted to Vice President. Abkemeier has spent his entire 24-year career with Shannon & Wilson and took over management of the company’s Saint Louis office in January 2012. He is experienced in all aspects of geotechnical engineering, with particular emphasis in large project management, tunneling, shoring systems, railroad engineering, and transportation projects. He received a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Concrete Institute, Chi Epsilon and Phi Kappa Phi. Abkemeier currently holds Professional Engineer registrations in Missouri and eight other states.
Jacob Bilello, P.E., has been promoted to Principal Engineer. Bilello joined Shannon & Wilson in 2008 and serves as a geotechnical engineer and project manager. He received his B.S. in Geotechnical Engineering and M.E. in Geotechnics from the University of Missouri – Rolla and Missouri University of Science & Technology, respectively. Bilello is a Young Member Representative of the Society of American Military Engineers and participates in Shannon & Wilson’s Future Leaders Program.
James Dutt, R.G., has been promoted to Principal Environmental Scientist. He has spent his entire 13-year career with Shannon & Wilson and performs a variety of environmental engineering and investigation tasks specializing in wetlands, NEPA assessments, asbestos and lead inspections, water quality and dye trace studies and hazardous waste investigations. Dutt received degrees in Environmental Science (B.S.) and Geology (B.A.) from St. Louis University and a M.S. in Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville. He is also a graduate of the ACEC Missouri Future Leaders Academy and a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists.
Mark Wieners has been promoted to Professional Geologist IV. Wieners joined Shannon & Wilson in 2004 after receiving a B.S. in Geology and B.A. in Environmental Science from St. Louis University. He performs a variety of geologic investigations, Phase I and II environmental assessments and geotechnical tasks, but is most known for his work on hazardous waste sites. Wieners is a member of the Association of General Contractors and the Association of Engineering Geologists.
