American Idol Winner, Country Star Scotty McCreery to Appear at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino Feb. 22
Dover, DE, November 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino announces that country sensation Scotty McCreery will perform in the Rollins Center on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 9 p.m. McCreery is the winner of Season Ten of American Idol. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 21st at noon from $35 to $85.
McCreery is the first American Idol winner born in the 1990s. His debut studio album, Clear as Day, includes the top 20 country songs, “I Love You This Big” and “The Trouble with Girls.” Just three months after its release, Clear as Day was certified platinum, and McCreery began touring with country stars Brad Paisley and The Band Perry. McCreery made history as the first country act to debut at No. 1 on Billboard 200 with his first studio album, as well as the youngest man to open at the top of the chart with his debut release.
McCreery’s first two singles were certified gold and he was named New Artist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards and the American Country Awards.
McCreery’s second studio album and first Christmas album, Christmas with Scotty McCreery, was released on October 16, 2012. It debuted at No. 4 on Billboard 200 with sales of 41,000.
