CSU Industries Brings Holiday Cheer to Long Island Hurricane Sandy Victims
Cedarhurst, NY, November 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, CSU Industries is pioneering an effort to bring joy to children and families devastated by the storm by distributing hundreds of replacement laptops, desktops, monitors, iPods, and other IT gear.
As a long-standing business located in the Long Island, NY community, CSU’s corporate headquarters sustained significant damage from the storm and many CSU employees lost homes and other property. Thanks to CSU’s excellent Disaster Recovery plans, the company has since recovered, but many families in the local community were hit hard and are still struggling. Children have lost their computers, televisions, iPods, Xboxes, and other electronic devices, and are beginning to comprehend the devastation the storm has caused to their personal belongings.
To help with the community’s recovery, CSU is partnering with other IT vendors and a local relief charity organization to donate like-new IT equipment to those affected by the storm.
“We can’t help all the victims in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, but we can do our part to help the victims in one of the most heavily damaged areas – Long Island,” said Avram Weissman, CEO of CSU Industries. “The devastation to local homes and businesses is widespread. I am proud that CSU is mobilizing our expertise, capabilities, and IT resources to assist with the response to the storm.”
To help bring joy to Hurricane Sandy victims during this holiday season, consider joining their efforts and donate appropriate like-new IT equipment to:
