Evan Guthrie Law Firm Visits to Law Education Class Students at High School in North Charleston, SC

Charleston, SC, November 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The law education class is a semester long high school course that covers many aspects of law and teaches from the “Street Law” text book. Fort Dorchester High is a school in the Dorchester County District 2 School District and is one of the largest schools in the state. This was the third time Attorney Guthrie has visited Fort Dorchester and spoken to their law education class. Mr. Guthrie spoke to two different class periods that were taking the course this semester. Attorney Guthrie began the class discussing his background of where he was from, the things he did in college to make it to college, the things he did on college to get to law school, what law school was like and some of his experiences, and what the bar exam was like. Mr. Guthrie then went into what areas of law he practiced, what a typical day is like for him as a lawyer, and some of his most interesting legal experiences. The students in the class were active and asked many quality questions including how much money Attorney Evan Guthrie earned and how he got paid in each area of law he practiced and what they students could do while they were in high school and what classes and skills they should acquire to best prepare them for a career in law. Each class period asked enough questions to last the entire length of the class and some students wanted to ask even more questions as the class ended and they had to go to their next class.

Mr. Guthrie was happy to return to Fort Dorchester and represent the local legal community and the profession at large and make sure that students get an opportunity to interact with on a face to face basis. Attorney Guthrie visits several schools in the Charleston, SC area each year. Mr. Guthrie looks forward to returning to Fort Dorchester High again in the future.
