About JeTaun F. Jamerson
Ms. Jamerson retired after 38 years in the field of education. She was a Social Studies Teacher with the Chicago Public School System. Ms. Jamerson taught U.S. and World History as well as Geography. She utilized movies and films to bring history to life for students and make learning enjoyable. Due to writing an essay regarding why she wanted to be a teacher, Ms. Jamerson won a contest and her tuition was paid to attend a state university. She wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a teacher and did. Ms. Jamerson feels that as a teacher, people acknowledge that she received a higher education and she encouraged her students to do the same. She received her B.S. +30 in U.S. History, Geography and American History from Chicago State University in 1973. In her retirement, she enjoys family activities, travel, reading, computer and going to Las Vegas.
