GoMobile: the 3 in 1 Digital Publishing Solution

The monthly iPad magazine for Eurostar users - Eurostar Metropolitan, takes advantage of the versatility of the GoMobile system by publishing both HD and standard ‘Page-turning’ issues to the Apple Newsstand.

Albrighton, United Kingdom, November 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Eurostar Metropolitan is an award-winning, tri-lingual, monthly magazine available to all users of Eurostar's trains and departure lounges. It focuses on fashion, food, art, film, music and fun in the key Eurostar destinations. The print edition has been available since 2010 and a full HD, content-rich edition became available via the App Store in October 2012. The flexibility of GoMobile has enabled the publishers to upload ‘page-turning’ copies of their back issues at the same time. This has instantly broadened the magazine’s audience, which will increase their advertiser’s exposure and ROI.

Using GoMobile, publishers are able to choose their level of commitment to a digital audience, by uploading ‘page-turning’ editions, HD issues or a mixture of both of these options. This provides all 3 digital publishing solutions with a single product. In addition, the in-built Google Analytics feature allows publishers to gain valuable feedback on which format or issue has been best received by their readers.

“Oppolis are software developers but our heritage lies in the Publishing Sector and so when we began developing GoMobile, we had the end-user firmly in our minds. We utilised this experience to create an adaptable, but cost-effective solution for publishers wishing to take the step into digital,” said Oppolis Managing Director Jon Simcox. “The Eurostar Metropolitan Magazine’s use of GoMobile was exactly the type of scenario we envisaged.”

“We want it to be as simple as possible for publishers to sample the growing digital audience - without the expense of investing in another product or upgrading software. Publishers should be free to set the level of digital interaction with their readers and not be restricted by the product they use. Their chosen software should adapt with their needs and not be set to one solution from the outset.”

The Eurostar Metropolitan Magazine launched in 2010 and is created by Ink who have 18 years experience in the travel publishing sector and work with more than 30 airlines globally.

Oppolis Software has been producing software solutions for the print and digital publishing sectors since 2003. The GoMobile system launched in 2010 and allows publishers the ability to create digital publications, from their current print files, through InDesign.
