Sacramento, CA, November 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Vanir Construction Management, Inc. announced today that the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) recently gave top honors to Bill Lacher, along with honoring the Gulf Coast Chapter, at the 2012 National Conference and Trade Show.

Vanir’s Bill Lacher, vice president and regional manager, was presented two awards – the 2012 Chairman’s Award, along with the 2012 Distinguished Service Award. The awards recognize a CMAA member for their outstanding long-term contributions to the profession and association. Additionally, the CMAA Gulf Coast Chapter, which was founded by Mr. Lacher in 2011, received the award for National Chapter of the Year for Population Division II.

Mr. Lacher’s commitment and enthusiasm for CMAA has made him a passionate ambassador for the organization. In fact, his leadership and involvement with the steering committee is what has helped shape the Gulf Coast Chapter into the successful and flourishing organization that it is today. Additionally, his efforts have included presiding as the first chapter president, co-chair of the professional development committee, and co-chair of the CCM committee.

“Bill was the driving force behind the launch of our Gulf Coast Chapter, which has quickly become one of our most successful and engaged chapters,” said Ron Price, past chairman of the board for CMAA National. “Part of the reason for that success is the energy with which he has reached out to the design and construction community along the Gulf Coast, including owners both public and private.”

Mr. Lacher has more than 38 years of construction management experience and holds contractor licenses in Louisiana and Arkansas. He is credentialed by the Construction Management Certification Institute, is a LEED® Accredited Professional, and has been certified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in construction quality management. Mr. Lacher is a Louisiana native and serves as Vanir’s regional manager for the Southeastern Region.

“Bill has always been an immensely valuable member of our organization, always looking to take his projects to the next level and achieve the next great thing,” said Mansour Aliabadi, president and CEO of Vanir Construction Management, Inc. “It has been gratifying to see his efforts and passion for the industry recognized outside of our organization as well.”
