Christian Leadership Academy Hosted Its Most Successful Dinner and Auction
Troy, MI, November 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- On November 10, 2012, Christian Leadership Academy, located on Livernois just north of Big Beaver Road on the campus of Zion Christian Church, hosted its most successful dinner and live auction in the 17-year history of the school. Over 180 guests, consisting of families and local business sponsors, gathered at the Troy Marriott for the school’s annual “ThanksForGiving” event.
“We’d like to thank all our donors and bidders for supporting this wonderful school in such a generous way,” expressed Robin Schmidt, CLA Headmaster.
Local sponsors of the event included Asset Preservation Capital, Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union, CxT Group, Somerset Buick GMC, Henry Ford Health System, and Faith Talk Radio AM 1500.
Carl Gill of Asset Preservation Capital and the Diamond Sponsor of the “ThanksForGiving” event said, “I am proud to support CLA which produces graduates of the highest caliber.”
Student performances were highlights of the evening. Two CLA students delivered oral presentations: Luke Antone, a third grader, recited Job 38 from the Bible and Samuel Montgomery, a senior, recited an adaptation of two speeches -- Lyndon B. Johnson’s “We Shall Overcome” and Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop.” Additionally, junior Joanna Flower provided piano music and the CLA Choir sang during the dinner portion of the program.
