Dale Jobes of Magnolia River Receives Young Energy Professional of the Year Award

Magnolia River Vice President Dale Jobes was selected as the "Young Energy Professional of the Year" by the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) at the 35th World Energy Engineering Congress.

Huntsville, AL, November 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) presented Dale Jobes of Magnolia River with a Young Energy Professional of the Year Award at the 35th World Energy Engineering Congress, the nation’s largest energy efficiency conference and exposition. Through its International Awards Program, AEE recognizes the important work being done in energy by individuals, organizations, agencies, and corporations. “We are very proud of what Dale has done for the City of Huntsville and for Magnolia River’s clients across the country,” said Kimberly Hoff, President and CEO. “Dale brings his passion and commitment to everything he does.”

Dale Jobes, Vice President at Magnolia River, performs program management and business development for the Geospatial and Energy sectors for local, state, and federal agencies and commercial companies. Dale worked with Mayor Tommy Battle to put together the Energy Huntsville concept and was named Chairman of the Energy Huntsville Initiative which was formed in 2011 to capitalize on North Alabama’s technical depth and expertise in systems engineering, testing, technology integration, and innovation. This initiative aims to diversify the local economy, create new job opportunities and enhance the region’s national reputation in emerging energy markets. Energy Huntsville is also helping the region to further energy independence and resiliency, particularly in times of inclement weather. Another goal of the initiative is to expand the reputation of North Alabama as a key technology cluster, innovator and national asset to the green energy sector. In its first year, Energy Huntsville has grown its membership to more than 140 entities including commercial companies, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. “For the Huntsville community, it is about job opportunity and workforce development,” said Mayor Tommy Battle. “Huntsville is known for looking forward and for our strong partnerships and collaborations." Dale Jobes added, “I’m honored to receive this award. I consider this to be an award for a group of leaders - Mayor Tommy Battle’s vision, Energy Huntsville and the Huntsville Madison County Chamber of Commerce’s initiative and collaboration, and Magnolia River’s support of the community.”

In addition to the AEE award, Dale has been named President of the Alabama state chapter of the Management Association for Private Photogrammetric Surveyors (MAPPS) which was recently formed to help Alabama geospatial firms to grow their business, raise awareness of the important role geospatial technologies play in our society, and affect public policy at the state level.
