Keyhole Software Schedules Spring Batch Breakfast Boost Event
Keyhole is hosting a free Spring Batch Breakfast Boost event to educate the public on how batch processing programs are implemented with the Spring Batch framework.
Leawood, KS, November 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Keyhole Software has scheduled its next educational event open to the public. Keyhole is hosting a free Spring Batch Breakfast Boost event to educate the public on how batch processing programs are implemented with the Spring Batch framework.
This free presentation will be held in Kansas City, Mo. on Dec. 5, 2012 and in Chicago, Ill. on Dec. 13, 2012. The breakfast boost includes a technology overview and expert Question & Answer sessions by speaker and Keyhole Software Managing Partner David Pitt.
Event Details
While most companies develop and support online applications that supply a user experience, almost all companies have some kind of batch processing needs. Many legacy environments support batch processing using the mainframe and COBOL/RPG. Others roll out their own by writing headless Java applications and implementing a mechanism to schedule and run (i.e. Java main() methods, or use a Java scheduling framework such as Quartz). However, there is not a consistent job definition mechanism, and a challenge is presented in trying to process large data sets and files both efficiently and timely.
A collaboration between Accenture and Spring Source, the Spring Batch framework has been designed to enable Java developers to process extremely large data sets with proven batch processing patterns using object oriented programming and the Spring framework.
Who Will Benefit: Managers, Architects, Leads and Developers who are developing software using Java technology.
Presentation Topics
» Batch Processing Requirements and History
» Spring Batch Framework Introduction
» Walk-through Example Spring Batch Program
» Developing Batch Programs with Eclipse
» Spring Batch Demo
