Ford Dealership Rocks Their Lot with Michael Ray Concert and Ford F-150 Giveaway Fantasy Road Trip
Bartow, FL, November 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Bartow Ford and 97 Country/WPCV held one rockin’ truck give-a-way on Saturday, November 3, 2012. Announced at the first annual Bartow Ford After Hours event, the winner, Sandra Walthall of Lakeland, FL, drove home in a brand new F-150.
When asked how she felt about winning the vehicle, Sandra responded “I was calm, I wasn’t nervous about winning the truck. I had a feeling I was going to win.” She went on to say “The only thing I’m nervous about is driving this large vehicle home.”
Mrs. Walthall was surprised to learn in addition to winning a new F-150 she also won a fantasy road trip to Key West, FL. The truck and trip will be a gift to her husband, Martinez, for 30 years of marriage.
Bartow Ford and 97 Country’s truck give-a-way is an annual contest for Central Florida listeners, giving them the opportunity to win cash prizes and one grand prize. Over a six week period, 90 qualifiers collected clues for their chance to be entered to win a new Ford truck and to take home a fantasy road trip vacation.
This year’s reveal drew a crowd of over 1,200 people for the first Bartow Ford After Hours concert event featuring The CW Network’s The Next winner and Nashville recording artist Michael Ray. Special guests included Jeff Hurst, songwriter of a Michael Ray hit song, 23rd Psalms, opening with an acoustical set and the 7-man Clemons Road band rocked the crowd for 45 minutes.
“Not only was the public amazed that a dealership could pull this off, but Ford Motor Company was impressed as well. They were astonished that we could turn the dealership, overnight, into a concert venue. We had a very successful night raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and collecting nonperishable food items for Metropolitan Ministries,” stated Benny Robles Sr., President of Bartow Ford.
Bartow Ford After Hours was sponsored by 97 Country/ WPCV. Generous donations for the event were given by Mid-Florida Credit Union, Bruster’s Ice Cream, Wal-Mart Bartow, Pinnacle Central Company, Bass Pro Shop Orlando, Sears Highland City and 97Country/WPCV. Gator’s Dockside of Highland City and Oahu Tiki Cone were benevolent givers of food and beverage proceeds.
