Long Term Care Insurance Online Lead Generation Studied
The cost of generating online long term care insurance leads reached $30 according to a report from the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance.
New York, NY, December 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Consumers are increasingly using Google to research long term care insurance and the cost of generating website clicks has reached $30 for key search terms according to a presentation given today by the long term care insurance industry trade group.
"The Internet is being widely used by consumers seeking information as well as actual insurance quotes," explains Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. "Key search phrases such as long term care insurance quotes are now costing more than ever for insurance companies and agents who pay for Google Adwords. A single click now costs between $20 and $30."
According to the data presented by Slome who was discussing online marketing of insurance products, only entities with large budgets can afford the cost of generating online leads. "The key search terms are highly competitive and the costs have increased significantly over a year ago," Slome explained. "For the typical insurance agent seeking to generate leads, the cost on running online keyword ads is probably too high today and will likely increase even more in 2013."
The marketing expert shared that the Adwords cost for the search tem 'long term care insurance quotes' was now $25.51 per click. The approximate cost for 'long term care insurance quotes online' is $29.62. Terms like 'long term care insurance broker' was approximately $19.58.
Slome advised insurance professionals that it was possible to generate online presence and potentially generate consumer interest by capitalizing on free or low cost marketing opportunities. "Agents without a Linkedin page are missing an enormous opportunity and one that is available free," Slome advised the agents.
"They still deliver a yellow pages to my door every year and it goes unopened into the recycling bin," Slome declared. "The world changes and that's true of the Internet as well. A year or two ago agents could create their own affordable Adwords campaign to generate leads in their area but I fear those days are reaching an end and only larger entities will be able or willing to make the financial commitment necessary for success."
Established in 1998 as a non-profit trade group, the Los Angeles, California-based American Association for Long Term Care Insurance advocates for the importance of planning for long term care and supports insurance and financial professionals who market LTC insurance. The Association established November as National Long Term Care Awareness Month in 2001.
