Military Veteran Recording Artist, Eric Lopez, Invited to Compete in Armed Forces FameCast.com Competition
Military veteran Eric Lopez is has been writing and singing music privately for over 15 years and is now beginning to share his music with the world. A self trained vocalist with an incredible operatic range likened to Bono of the world famous band, U2. Eric is currently completing an album titled "In The Trenches," an acoustical studio album based on life experiences involved with being a military member, infatuation, love, the journey to manhood, and the things that Eric is passionate about.
Palm Desert, CA, July 19, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Military veteran recording artist, Eric Lopez was recently surprised when he uploaded a video of himself performing one of his latest records, “Kiss The Ground Kind Of Day,” into the popular YouTube video archives. A talent director of FameCast.com noticed the video and contacted Lopez regarding the video and encouraged him to enter into the “Armed Forces” section of their ongoing talent contest.
The talent director noticed Eric’s song in particular, while searching for music and lyrics with military content and feel, stating, “the music industry is particularly clamoring right now for content created by veterans, or active military personnel, in order to help support our military troops in the hot regions abroad, as well as to connect with folks at home here in the States.”
Eric is a military veteran and wrote the song, “Kiss The Ground Kind Of Day” while stationed at the Kunsan Air Base located in Kunsan, in the Republic of South Korea.
Eric hopes to reach out with this song particularly to comrades and veterans of the military who might be able to relate to the song’s content. “Kiss The Ground Kind Of Day” is a song about being stationed in a desolate place, far from the home and family the soldier loves, and yearning for the time when he can make it back to ’s soil, and be so glad he would kiss the ground.
