Comtrend to Donate a Percentage of Sales to the American Red Cross, Hurricane Sandy Victims
Irvine, CA based Comtrend seeking to raise funds and awareness of American Red Cross ongoing efforts to care for victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Irvine, CA, December 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Comtrend, a global supplier of advanced networking solutions, announced today new efforts to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy and the subsequent storms that still have thousands struggling to recover. Financial losses have escalated into the billions - with food, shelter, power, and telecommunications sought by many today. Therefore, Comtrend is donating 10% of their North American sales of Home Networking equipment during the month of December directly to the American Red Cross. Every qualified sale by a Comtrend distributor will automatically be included in this donation.
“Hearing that so many continue to struggle from Sandy’s devastation led to discussions as to how we as a company could assist,” says John Castreje, General Manager of Comtrend Americas. “We are grateful to organizations like the American Red Cross that continue their tireless efforts to bring necessities like food and supplies to these families. In this holiday season of giving, we encourage individuals and businesses alike to donate to such a worthy cause.”
“For more than ten years, Comtrend has partnered with service providers across North America. Their customers are our customers and in this case, many of the same people affected by these storms. This is our chance to give back. We hope that our peers in the telecommunication industry will stand together and join us in making a bigger impact than any one company can achieve alone,” says John D. DiFrenna, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Comtrend Americas.
