4ipnet Deploys Wireless Solution at the Catholic University of Maule, Chile

In order to improve the existing campus-wide Wi-Fi access, the Catholic University of Maule decided to deploy 4ipnet access points along with a WLAN controller in two campus buildings. Students and faculty will have easier Internet access throughout the libraries, reading rooms, the theater, and indoor/outdoor common area.

The deployment projects looks to solve issues including:
1) Provide comprehensive coverage (replacing the original omni-directional antennas) through out the desired premises.
2) Supports up to 1100 concurrent users during peak time.
3) Access control—grant access only to students and campus faculty
4) A central monitoring/management system from the campus of Curicó and should be able to integrate with future network system if desired.
