Diana Doyle Elected 2008 NASPA President

Washington, DC, July 05, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Diana Doyle, vice president of educational and student services at Western Nebraska Community College, has been elected president of NASPA–Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education for 2008–09. Doyle will assume the presidency at the 2008 NASPA Annual Conference in Boston, Mass.

“I hope to encourage, stimulate, and assist my colleagues to explore and address the important and critical issues facing all of us, regardless of institutional size, type, affiliation, or location,” Doyle said.

In addition to having given numerous presentations at a variety of conferences and meetings, Doyle has held a number of leadership roles within the association, including vice president of Region IV-West from 2002–04, where she represented her constituency on the national board. Her recent leadership participation at the national level includes serving as a faculty member for the 2008 Alice Manicur Symposium, a member of the Community and Two-Year College Advisory Board, category coordinator for the 2006 National Excellence Awards, and on the Panel of Listeners for the Center for Women.

Doyle currently serves as one of nine senior-level administrators on the President’s Cabinet for Western Nebraska Community College, a comprehensive, multi-site college. She has direct experience in many areas such as policy making and implementation; instruction; student services; faculty relations; and institutional research.

Doyle was a member of the team that was honored as a Community College Futures Assembly Bellwether Awards Finalist in the Workforce Development category in 2006, and was presented with the Administrator of the Year Award by the Nebraska Community College Association in 2002.

Doyle holds a PhD in public administration with an emphasis in higher education from the University of Colorado and has 29 years of progressively responsible positions in higher education.
