When Fashion Meets Film: Hidden & Domestic Curiosities
Fly Magazine, Yves Saint Laurent and Dehel Media have joined forces to create an exquisite art piece where film meets fashion.
New York, NY, July 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- French director, Cyril Guyot & Yves Saint Laurent have joined forces to create a unique art piece.
Domestic and Hidden Curiosities explores a woman’s most intimate desires and her need to escape the daily domestic world. With charm and exquisite elegance, the film examines the woman’s attempt to dominate the male sex.
The Director: French born director, Cyril Guyot lives and works in New York while pursuing a career both in the United States and Europe. Since graduating from prestigious New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Cyril has directed many short films, art videos, music videos and commercials. His clients include Michael Kors, Hewlett Packard, Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Dior, MTV and many others. His work has screened at numerous art fairs and festivals around the world. Praised for his unique experimental visual style, Cyril’s work is often described as “images of Guy Bourdain, meet dream state of David Lynch.”
The Designer: Yves Saint Laurent is considered by many of the world's best-dressed people to be the inventor of modern fashion. His goal in designing clothes for women was “not just to make women beautiful, but to reassure them and give them confidence”. The film pays homage to Yves Saint Laurent’s timeless elegance and unique style but also to his attempt to change the life of the average woman.
The Model. Eastern European model, Natasa Vojnovic started her career at age 16 and moved to Paris at 19. Since then, Natasa appeared in campaigns for Gucci, Calvin Klein, Lanvin, Cerrutti, Moschino, and Georgio Armani and has worked for today's leading fashion photographers, including Steven Meisel, Nick Knight, Mert & Marcus, Patrick Demarchelier and Steven Klein. 'Natasha V', as she is more commonly referred to, has been featured on the covers of Vogue, Numero, Dazed & Confused, Mix(e), and i-D.
The film can be viewed on the Dehel Media website: www.dehelmedia.com/Fly.mov
and will be release on the Fly DVD 2007
