Now Live on iGavelAuctions.com: Fine & Decorative Arts, Silver and Collectibles Auction
New York, NY, December 06, 2012 --(PR.com)-- iGavel Auctions’ associate seller Nye & Company’s Fine & Decorative Arts Auction is now featured on www.iGavelAuctions.com through December 18, 2012.
The auction has an array of fine art, English, American and Continental furniture, lots of silver, jewelry, watches, collectibles, Tribal and antique fire arms. There are Kentucky rifles, carbines, matchlocks, rolling block and numerous percussion long arms and hand guns.
Highlight of the auction are a fine Queen Anne tiger maple highboy, a huge Antonio Jacobsen ship portrait, several works by Frederic Cozzens, silver, pocket watches and two slot machines.
Two travel bags from the Collection of Luther Vandross are, by coincidence, back in the auction. One is an alligator Italian example by Malo Brown that is virtually unused. The other is crocodile, well-traveled, and made by Wehmeier of New Orleans.
Private collectors, collectively consigned nearly 100 lots of jewelry and silver. The auction also includes English portrait miniatures, colorless glass, American paintings, a Regency cellarette, a George III dumbwaiter, a Warren Platner bronze lounge chair, curtain tie-backs, a goose-neck copper kettle.
Nye and Company recently relocated to a new and expanded location at 20 Beach Street in Bloomfield, NJ, adjacent to the Garden State Parkway and 20 minutes west of New York City. “It is extremely exciting and encouraging to have finally found a building that is the perfect fit,” said John Nye.
