Dover Downs Hotel & Casino to Host Televised Pro Poker Championship High Stakes Events
Dover, DE, December 07, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, in association with Pro Poker Championships will host nationally televised high stakes poker tournaments in the Crown Royal® Poker Room in January and February 2013. With millions of dollars in prize pools, the tournaments will draw professional and amateur players from across the country. The episodes will air nationally on Comcast SportsNet in early 2013.
The first event is a $25,000 guarantee no limit hold’em tournament on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. with a buy in of $300. A multi-table satellite into Event 1 will be held on Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. with a $45 buy in.
Event 2 is a 6-handed cash game (invitation only) on Jan. 31 at noon. The buy in is $50,000.
Event 3 is a heads-up cash match (invitation only) on Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. between Brian Rast and Daniel “Jungleman 12” Cates. The buy in is $100,000.
Event 4 is a no limit hold’em tournament with a $50,000 guarantee. The buy in is $495. Two multi-table satellites will be held for a seat to Event 4 on Jan. 21 and 31, both at 7 p.m. with a $65 buy in.
Event 5 is a multi-table satellite into Event 7, which will be held Feb. 8-11. Event 5 will take place on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. with a buy in of $375. Satellites for Event 5 will be held on Jan. 27 & 29 and Feb. 4-6 for a buy in of $62.
Event 6 is a no limit hold’em $10,000 guarantee tournament on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. with a buy in of $155.
Event 7 is a no limit hold’em tournament beginning on Feb. 8 at noon and ending with the final table on Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. The buy in is $3,500. Single-table satellites for seats into Event 7 will be held any time on Jan. 12, 16, 19, 23, 25, 26, 30 and Feb. 1 with a buy in of $375. A multi-table satellite will also be held on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. with a buy in of $375.
