New "Ladies Night Out" 5K Event to Benefit Women's Charities on North Shore of Boston
B&S Event Management, part of B&S Fitness LLC is pleased to break ground, once again, with a new event: the Ladies Night Out: Run, Wine and Chocolate Series. The race will take place on December 15, 2012 in Newburyport, MA. A portion of the proceeds will benefit two women's Boston-area charities: HAWC, which provides free, comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Newburyport.
Salem, MA, December 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- B&S Event Management, part of B&S Fitness LLC (http://www.bnsfitness.com) - the Boston area's largest provider of fitness programs, is pleased to break ground, once again, with a new event: the Ladies Night Out: Run, Wine and Chocolate Series. This particular 5K Run/Walk is being held in Newburyport, MA where women can participate in a fitness event while being treated to champagne and flowers from handsome men as they cross the red carpet finish line. After the 5K, runners can enjoy fine chocolates, hors d'oeuvres, and a selection of wine and other spirits as well as non-alcoholic beverages like sparkling cider. The event creator and co-owner of B&S Fitness, Brandi Dion, wanted this ladies-only event to help two women's charities. A portion of the proceeds will benefit HAWC, an organization that provides free, comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and their children in communities around the North Shore of Boston, as well as The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Newburyport.
According to Ms. Dion, “One of the benefits of creating special events like this is being able to help others and support charitable causes. This race, in particular, is designed to pamper women and create a very memorable and unique experience that will have people asking when our next 'Ladies Night Out' will be.”
This first Ladies Night Out 5K will take place on December 15, 2012 at Nicholson Hall in Newburyport, MA with registration beginning at 1:30 pm and a race start time of 3 pm. Post race festivities will be held inside the hall. Registration costs $60 before December 14, 2012 or $65 on race day. The first 300 ladies to register will receive a free embroidered pullover (a $25 value). All racers will receive an 8 oz. custom wine glass.
“We have women who want to compete in something unique and different, and given the number of registrants so far, this is definitely proving to be a popular event,” stated Ashley Steeves, Co-Owner, B&S Event Management.
