Texas Trust Credit Union Earns Ranking as Top Credit Union Residential Mortgage Lender in North Texas
Texas Trust Credit Union has surpassed all other credit unions in the Dallas-Fort Worth market to become the 16th largest residential mortgage lender. The annual ranking is compiled by the Dallas Business Journal, north Texas' leading business publication. Texas Trust completed 471 mortgages worth $40.24 million in 2011, a two percent increase over 2010.
Mansfield, TX, December 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- For residential mortgages, Texas Trust Credit Union is now the top credit union in North Texas, according to the latest annual rankings by the Dallas Business Journal.
Texas Trust ranked 16th overall in the yearly compilation, which was based on 2011 full-year mortgage lending figures. Only one other credit union finished in the top 25, but ranked lower than Texas Trust.
For 2011, Texas Trust reported 471 mortgages, worth $40.24 million, compared with 459 mortgages worth $38.99 million, in 2010. The number of 2011 mortgages represented about a two percent increase over 2010, while the mortgage value was up by about three percent.
"Five years ago, we set a pretty aggressive goal for Texas Trust, to become the largest credit union mortgage lender in our market," said Richard B.
