Worcester County MD Tourism Announces a New Mobile App for Its Award-Winning Wine and Ale Trail, “Toast Our Coast”
Worcester County Tourism teams with AppCreatorPro to provide a mobile app for visitors interested in the "Toast Our Coast" Wine and Ale Tour on the Delmarva Peninsula.
Huntingtown, MD, December 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Worcester County Office of Tourism (WCT) in Snow Hill MD announced today that it has added a significant benefit for visitors to its popular “Toast Our Coast” Wine and Ale Trail on the Delmarva Peninsula, a mobile smartphone app. The app provides maps and directions to each participating winery and brewery, as well as an area map, contact information and hours of operation for each site, and an events listing and information about the area.
Mobile web apps are a fast-growing alternative for local businesses that want to get their message out to potential customers and constituencies via mobile platforms like smartphones and tablets. The “Toast Our Coast” app takes advantage of the smartphone’s geo-location capabilities, as well as the ability to call any of the participant locations with a tap of the screen, to keep a list of favorite establishments on the phone, and to share the app directly with friends via text message, email, or over social media like Facebook and Twitter.
