The firm was ranked nationally in 23 practice areas and ranked by metropolitan city in nearly 80 practice areas. Jackson Walker's rankings included 6 national top-tier honors and 52 first-tier designations in the metropolitan rankings.

The firm's nationwide rankings nearly doubled from the 2011-2012 edition of "Best Law Firms," a reflection of the growing recognition of Jackson Walker's involvement in significant transactions and litigation across the U.S. Particularly highly ranked were the firm's practices in Media and First Amendment Law, First Amendment Litigation, Labor & Employment Litigation, Natural Resources Law, and Oil & Gas Law, all of which received National Tier 1 recognition in the "Best Law Firms" guide.
