Maple Leaf Farms Announces 2012 Video Recipe Contest Winners
Citrus Sesame Duck with Snappy Cherry Soba Noodles recipe takes top prize in the Maple Leaf Farms “Strut Your Duck” Video Recipe Contest.
Leesburg, IN, December 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Maple Leaf Farms has selected the winners in the 2012 “Strut Your Duck” Video Recipe Contest. The contest challenged entrants to create an original recipe that featured duck and videotape the recipe preparation as part of the entry.
Taking the Grand Prize of $4,000 was Merry Graham for her Citrus Sesame Duck with Snappy Cherry Soba Noodles video recipe. She will also receive free Maple Leaf Farms duck products for a year.
A video recipe submitted by Jen Beckman for Thai-Style Duck Sliders with Spicy Pineapple Slaw was awarded the First Runner-Up Prize. The Second Runner-Up Prize was claimed by Tiffany Michelle for her Thanksgiving Inspired Duck Pizza.
All videos with accompanying written recipes were evaluated by a panel of judges from Maple Leaf Farms in two separate judging rounds.
