MiraiStore.com has raised angel investment from Prem Kumar M who is the Chairman and Managing Director of Uniworld Logistics, a world leader in logistics that serves over 400 destinations worldwide through 32 offices in 10 countries.
Commenting on the launch of MiraiStore.com, Co-founder and CEO Ram Bhamidi said, “MiraiStore not only has the latest in fashion apparel and accessories, but has also set up state of the art warehouses in Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to effectively fulfill the customers orders. Since the beta launch a few weeks ago, MiraiStore has started getting traction both in terms of number of orders and also on social networks like Facebook where MiraiStore.com has over 30,000 fans.”
Commenting on the investment, Ram said, “The investment will help MiraiStore.com in scaling up its operations and will be used for product development, improving logistics and backend systems; and for marketing. Ram Bhamidi, CEO, is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad with over 15 years experience in India and UK predominantly in the internet, e-commerce and new media space. Ram started his career with Tata Motors in 1996 and has also worked for Infosys, Goldman Sachs, PartyGaming and Shaadi.com. He also set up a successful e-commerce store in the UK.
Asha Shridhar, COO - Brands holds a degree in textiles and clothing and has over 14 years experience in fashion retailing. She was the Chief Brand Manager for Scullers brand and has also worked for Madura Coats.
Sankar Bora, COO-Operations, co-founded Myntra.com in 2007 and has over 14 years of experience in technical project and product management, operations, Sales and Business and as an Entrepreneur.
