Bolingbrook, IL, December 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Orbus Exhibit & Display Group, one of North America’s leading trade suppliers of display, exhibit and event solutions is proud to announce its newest facility in Las Vegas, Nevada achieved ISO 14001 environmental management certification.
Orbus is determined to help conserve energy and protect the environment. ISO audits are conducted to verify Orbus’ commitment to meeting its goals to protect the environment, minimize its environmental impact and as well as the requirements of the certification.
“Certifying our newest facility only solidifies our efforts to minimize our environmental footprint,” said Jim Concannon, QA Specialist at Orbus Exhibit & Display Group.
The ISO 14001:2004 standard is primarily concerned with the approach of environmental management, which provides guidance for an organization to:
· - Enhance positive effects on the environment caused by business activities
· - Prevent pollution
· - Achieve continual improvement of environmental performance
Orbus Las Vegas and Bolingbrook both passed the first stage of audits for ISO 9001:2008 manufacturing process certification. The ISO 9001:2008 standard sets out the criteria for a quality management and manufacturing system to ensure that an organizations products and services consistently meet its client’s requirements and that it constantly improves.
Orbus’ Bolingbrook, IL and Niles, IL facilities have been recommended for recertification of the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. The Niles, IL facility successfully recertified to ISO 9001 back in March of this year.
