IFI Names Ted McNabb President and Opens New Branch Office in Cincinnati
Insulation Fabricators, Inc. (IFI) continues to grow its mechanical insulation fabrication and distribution business.
Hammond, IN, December 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Insulation Fabricators, Inc., a leading fabricator and distributor of thermal and acoustical insulation, today announces two key components of their 2013 growth strategy: Ted McNabb has been named president & CEO, and a fourth branch office location has opened in Cincinnati.
Having most recently served as vice president, Ted McNabb is now president and CEO. Ted's career at IFI began with hauling boxes in the warehouse in high school. After spending a summer learning the industry for an insulation contractor in Chicago's Local 17, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Dayton and officially joined the family business as a customer service rep. Three years later, Ted became the manager of customer service and shipping and receiving, then operations manager and ultimately VP.
According to Ted, "I'm excited about the future of IFI and our prospects for growth. I feel that we have a lot of good things in place resulting from many positive changes implemented over the past few years."
Ted takes over for his father, Larry McNabb, who founded IFI in 1979. Larry has been named chairman and will continue to be involved as an advisor to the IFI management team.
Regarding his new role and Ted’s promotion, Larry commented, "For several years, Ted has demonstrated an ability to lead the organization on a growth path, and I am glad to see him in his new role. I've been in the insulation business for 48 years and I look forward to serving IFI in a new capacity."
As part of its continued expansion, IFI has opened a new office and distribution facility in Cincinnati. This new branch represents the company's fourth overall and will serve Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. In addition to its headquarters and fabrication facility in Hammond, IFI also has branches in Nitro, WV, Clarksville, TN, and Holland, OH.
According to Ted McNabb, "Our new branch serves our customers in Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Louisville, Lexington, and throughout the region, and will allow us to provide faster order turnaround and next-day delivery thanks to a large local inventory of pipe insulation products. Both current and new customers will continue to have a direct line to our management team and myself. They also will have the continual support of our veteran outside sales force." Ted went on to say, "With this expansion, we are positioned to be the mechanical insulation leader throughout the Midwest and Central States."
