SIGNARAMA Peterborough Launches Fourth Annual Signs of Support Grant Program
SIGNARAMA Peterborough Launches Fourth Annual Signs of Support Grant Program to provide $10,000 of free or discounted signage to local non-profits. Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2013.
Peterborough, Canada, December 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- SIGNARAMA Peterborough, 774 Rye Street, announces the launch of its fourth annual Signs of Support grant program, which will provide up to $10,000 in free and discounted signage to nonprofit and charitable organizations in the Peterborough area.
Signs of Support focuses on supporting groups’ missions through the replacement or creation of effective, affordable signage. Groups can request signs for events and can include interior or exterior, temporary or permanent needs. Businesses are eligible to apply for the Signs of Support program if they are a local nonprofit organization, local affiliate of registered charities or local non-government civic organization.
“Nonprofit organizations are the heart of the Peterborough community; however, they often struggle to make ends meet,” said Debbie Smith, co-owner of SIGNARAMA Peterborough with husband Morgan. “Expenses such as event signage or new exterior signs might not be in their budgets for 2013. Signs of Support is a way to show organizations in the Peterborough community that we appreciate the work they do and that we are here to help.”
“Peterborough is full of good people who are doing wonderful work. And, these organizations could use our help,” said Debbie.
Last year the program awarded 11 area non-profit organizations free or discounted signage or services. 2012 recipients included: Queen Mary Public School Council; The Canadian Canoe Museum; The Canadian Mental Health Association; Peterborough Green-Up; Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority; United Way of Peterborough & District; The James Fund for Neuroblastoma Research; Sadlier House; Easter Seals of Ontario; Peterborough-Kawartha Rotary; and the Alzheimer Society.
