Innovation Direct™ Inventor Takes Essential Step with Filing of Provisional Application for Ross Seat Belt Invention

Mr. Ross initially submitted information about the Ross Seat Belt to Innovation Direct™ in June 2012 on the company’s Confidential Product Outline. Exhibits that Innovation Direct™ has attended in recent years include the SHOT Show, the International Home and Housewares Show, the National Hardware Show, Licensing International, the SEMA and AAPEX Shows and the ERA D2C Convention.
In July 2012, Mr. Ross opted to contract Innovation Direct™ to represent the Furnlenz to potential licensees for a 2 year period under the terms of the Product Management Services Agreement. The terms of the agreement also included Innovation Direct™ referring Mr. Ross to an independent patent law firm for the filing of a provisional application for a patent on the Ross Seat Belt. The application was officially filed on October 12, 2012 and is valid for the term of one year. Prior to its expiration, Mr. Ross will have to decide whether or not to opt to have the independent patent law firm convert the application to a non-provisional version.
