Family Business Association Awards for Massachusetts Recognize Anton’s Cleaners with Community Excellence Award
Tewksbury, MA, December 15, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Anton’s Cleaners was presented with the 2012 Community Excellence Award by the Family Business Association (FBA). In addition to the award, the Family Business Association has generously donated a check in the amount of $1,500 to Caring Partners, the 501c (3) arm of Anton’s Cleaners.
Caring Partners is the parent organization of Coats for Kids and Belle of the Ball programs, and has become part of the very fabric of the Anton’s Cleaners.
The Family Business Association is a non-profit organization created to honor family businesses and recognize excellence at the annual awards program. Companies can win the Family Business Award for any given category once. Anton’s Cleaners is proud to have won the Family Business Association Award for Massachusetts in 2009 for mid-size business as well as the 2012 Community Excellence Award.
“There were over twenty worthy nominees, and we’re honored to have been chosen as the winner of the Community Excellence Award for 2012,” said Arthur Anton Jr. He continued, “This generous gift from the Family Business Association will help fund the School Rewards program for Coats for Kids, and provide shoes and accessories for Belle of the Ball, making an unforgettable experience for hundreds of deserving girls.”
Anton’s believes in leveraging the resources of the company to assist those in need. Whether it’s receiving coats and prom dresses, cleaning and pressing them, or assisting in the distribution, all Anton’s employees come together to ensure Coats for Kids and Belle of the Ball are a success year after year. Since the programs began, 1995 and 2005 respectively, Anton’s has contributed over $10,000,000 in clothing care services.
The Coats for Kids program looks to collect, clean, and distribute over 60,000 coats to individuals living in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire each year. We ask that you look into your closets and bring any gently worn or new coats to Anton’s Cleaners between now and January 12, 2013.
